How To Surf the Web with FireTV, Chrome & Firefox

1. Associate a bluetooth keyboard with your Amazon FireTV stick
a. Click on Settings
b. Click on Controllers & Bluetooth Devices
c. Click on Other Bluetooth Devices
d. Turn on Bluetooth keyboard
e. Click on Add Bluetooth Device
f. Tap on bluetooth icon on keyboard to start pairing process
g. Click on the keyboard listed to complete the pairing process

2. Installing Firebox browser
a. Install Downloader
b. Click on search icon
c. Type downloader
d. Highlight and click on downloader
e. Select downloader and click on it
f. Click on Get Free to download
g. Open downloader
h. Click on OK to update notes if displayed
i. Enter this URL – https://troypoint.com/firefox
j. Highlight and click on Go
k. File will now download
l. Highlight and click on Install
Note: Install Firefox using this option instead of the built-in Firefox from the Fire TV Apps option. This allows you bookmarks and other options not available in the version offered by Amazon

3. Installing Google browser
a. Install Downloader
b. Click on search icon
c. Type downloader
d. Highlight and click on downloader
e. Select downloader and click on it
f. Click on Get Free to download
g. Open downloader
h. Click on OK to update notes if displayed
i. Enter this URL – https://troypoint.com/chrome
j. Highlight and click on Go
k. File will now download
l. Highlight and click on Install

4. Installing Opera browser
a. Install Downloader
b. Click on search icon
c. Type downloader
d. Highlight and click on downloader
e. Select downloader and click on it
f. Click on Get Free to download
g. Open downloader
h. Click on OK to update notes if displayed
i. Enter this URL – https://troypoint.com/opera
j. Highlight and click on Go
k. File will now download
l. Highlight and click on Install

Note: The following is handy to have when you want to delete an app. Not the most intuitive option for removing an app.

Another use for this is to get your Fire TV past the hotel wifi login screen so you can use Amazon Prime Video and other channels on your Amazon Fire Device

How to delete app from Fire TV
a. Click on Settings
b. Click on Applications
c. Scroll Down and click on Manage Installed Applications
d. Scroll Down and click on application to remove
e. Click on Uninstall application
