If you have already setup your Slampher, you can go to the next section on integrating Alexa
1. Download eWeLink app for your SmartPhone/Table
2. Start the eWeLink app
3. Create a Sonoff account if you don’t have one
4. Login with the Sonoff account if you have already created on
5. Screw in a bulb into the Slampher
6. Make sure the socket you are going to screw the Slampher into is turned on
7. Screw in the Slampher into the socket snugly but not tightf
8. Plug in the Sonoff to the wall outlet
9. Turn on the Socket
10. Press and hold the black button on the Sonoff Slampher for about 7 seconds (until the wifi light begins to blink flast
11. Tap the + symbol on the eWeLink app
12. If you are using android smartphone, select the first pairing option
13. For an IOS/Apple phone, select the pairing option based on how the LED blinks
14. Enter your Wifi password
15. Assign a name to the device
16. When the WiFi light is on solid, the device is now online
TIP: Do initial setup with 10 to 15 feet of an access point. Will make the setup process goes smoother. Gives you one less thing to fight when you are using the device in what will probably be where it is installed.
If you already have Alexa integrated with other Sonoff Devices, you can skip this section and to go to the Alexa Discovery Steps
1. Open the Alexa app on your SmartPhone/Tablet
2. Tap on the menu in the upper left hand corner of the app
3. Tap on Skills
4. Enter EweLink in the search box
5. Tap on the magnifying glass to begin the search
6. Tap on eWeLink Smart Home Fan
7. Tap on Enable to enable the skill
8. Enter your eWeLink account information
9. Tap on Login
10. Go back to the Skills page
11. Tap on the Discover Devices button
Edit the name that Alexa discovers to something a little more user friendly
If you have already enabled the eWelink skill, do one of the following –
1. Ask Alexa to Scan for New devices
2. Select the Scan for New Devices option in the Alexa app or Portal
Note: All the HowTo’s involving the Sonoff devices are done using the firmware shipped from the factory from Sonoff. These instructions have not been tested using any 3rd party firmware.
