With more computers starting to ship without a CD/DVD drive built in or as an option. While you can get an external USB CD/DVD drive, that still requires that you burn the iso image onto a CD/DVD blank media. With the IODD-2541, you can cut a couple of steps out of the process. The major thing you need to do make sure that you go into the BIOS setup and put USB at the top of the list of bootable sources.
