How to Setup Garadget

  1. Download Garadget app from Playstore or AppStore
  2. Open app
  3. Create an account
  4. Save the login and password in your password manager
  5. Follow the prompts on the screen for setting up Garadget
  6. Insert the two wire cable in the back of Garadet
  7. Tighten down the screws to secure the wires
  8. Install one of the two sided mounting pads on the base of Garadget
  9. Before removing the other side of the mounting pad, test place Garadget on the bottom of your Garage Door opener
  10. Look at where the flashing beam shows up on the door
  11. Tilt up or down the Garadget until the light is several inches below the top of the door
  12. Remove the tape from the mounting pad and place Garadget on the Garage Door opener
  13. Get some painters tape and fasten the reflector on the garage door when the beam is flashing

Notes:

  1. Make sure that your smartphone is on a 2.4Ghz SSID or you might have problems completing the setup
  2. While tempting to go ahead and mount the reflector initially, use the tape to temporarily place the reflector. Let it stay there for several days and if you don’t have to adjust Garadget or move the sensor, that is a good point to permanently place it on the door.

By tapping on Alerts at the bottom of the screen, you can enable notifications when the door opens, closes, stopped or if the device goes offline.
