1. What is Yonomi ?
a. It can be a control panel for devices from multiple vendors
b. It provides additional functionality not provided by some vendors app
c. It can turn on/off devices based on the geo-location of your smartphone
d. It can turn on/off devices based on sunrise/sunset time
2. Things to remember about Yonomi
a. Things are the devices it has access to control
b. Routines are what tells Yonomi what to do with the different Things it knows about
3. Connecting Voice Control to Yonomi
a. Alexa and Google Assistant are currently supported
b. Cortana isnt supported at this time
4. Getting started
a. Download the LiFX app and setup the bulb(s)
b. Download the Yonomi app on your smartphone
c. Download either Alexa or Google Assistant/Home apps for your smartphone
d. Link the first of the devices that you want to control (i.e. LIFX) – this will show up under things in the Yonomi app
5. Create a Routine to turn light on at sunset and off at sunrise or when you go to bed
Turn off can also be at the time you normally turn in at night
a. Tap on Routines
b. Setup an auto turn on/off at sunset/sunrise
c. Tap on + button on lower right hand corner of screen
d. Give the Routine a name – Sunset On
e. Tap on + beside Add Event
f. Tap on Date & Time
g. Tap on It’s Sunset
h. Tap on + beside Add Action
i. Tap on LiFX bulb you want to assign Routine to
j. Tap on Turn On
k. Tap on Check Mark in upper right hand corner of screen
l. Tap on left pointing arrow in upper left hand corner of screen
m. Setup an auto turn on/off at sunset/sunrise
n. Tap on + button on lower right hand corner of screen
o. Give the Routine a name – Sunrise Off
p. Tap on + beside Add Event
q. Tap on Date & Time
r. Tap on It’s Sunset
s. Tap on + beside Add Action
t. Tap on LiFX bulb you want to assign Routine to
u. Tap on Turn Off
v. Tap on Check Mark in upper right hand corner of screen
w. Tap on left pointing arrow in upper left hand corner of screen
6. Create a Routine to manually turn light on and off
a. Tap on Routines
b. Setup an auto turn on/off at sunset/sunrise
c. Tap on + button on lower right hand corner of screen
d. Give the Routine a name – Bulbname On
e. Tap on + beside Add Action
f. Tap on LiFX bulb you want to assign Routine to
g. Tap on Turn On
h. Tap on Check Mark in upper right hand corner of screen
i. Tap on left pointing arrow in upper left hand corner of screen
j. Setup an auto turn on/off at sunset/sunrise
k. Tap on + button on lower right hand corner of screen
l. Give the Routine a name – Bulbname Off
m. Tap on + beside Add Action
n. Tap on LiFX bulb you want to assign Routine to
o. Tap on Turn Off
p. Tap on Check Mark in upper right hand corner of screen
q. Tap on left pointing arrow in upper left hand corner of screen
