1. Open Google Play Store
2. Install Android Auto from Play Store
3. Open the Android Auto app
4. Tap on the Get Started button
5. Tap on Continue to grant the necessary permissions
6. Tap on Allow to each of the permissions displayed on the screen
7. Tap on Continue
8. Tap on Android Auto on the Notification Access screen
9. Tap on Allow
10. Tap on the < in the upper left hand corner of the screen
11. Tap on Continue on the Google Assistant screen
12. If you have a vehicle that is equipped with bluetooth, select the option on the screen that matches that entry so that Android Auto will auto launch when the vehicle is started.
13. Tap on Turn On to proceed
14. Tap on the map icon on the bottom of the screen
15. Select the maps app (Google Maps or Waze) that you want to use (you wont have to make this choice again unless you reinstall Android Auto)
16. Tap on the 3 horizontal bars in the upper left hand corner of the screen
17. Tap on Settings
18. Tap on Google Assistant
19. Tap on Personal Info
20. Tap on Home & work locations to set those two locations for use with the maps app
